Public education is the very foundation of this great nation. As a current member of the Re-1 school board, I have the experience needed to get the job done. I know how important it is that the board work as a team with the dedicated and professional teachers, administrators, and staff of our district, and listen to our community members as we shape the future of education in this valley.

Our valley presents challenges for our school board. Attracting and retaining the very best teachers and staff is a continuing challenge due to the high cost of living. The federal and state governments mandate standards that our district must meet. Our state is facing an uncertain economic future. We have aging buildings that must be repaired or replaced in the near future. I have the experience and qualifications to help find solutions so that our district can continue to provide quality education.

I believe our school district provides excellent educational opportunities. My own kids are happy and successful in their schools here. I have come to understand the needs of all three district communities, and I know the challenges the district faces. The decisions the board makes must be objective, fair, and above all must always put the needs of our kids first. I am committed to our kids and our district, and hope to continue to serve as your school board representative for four more years.
